Junior staffer Natavia Beasley is an extremely creative young woman with a knack for writing poetry. She enjoys her journalism and English classes because they provide her with an opportunity to "basically chill and write."
In addition to her passion for writing she is also an avid reader. She participates in the school book club sponsored by Media Library Specialist Ms. Cupole. Last year she was on the MBA Book Bowl team. Her favorite Book Bowl book was between City of Bones and The Hunger Games. She is anxiously awaiting the film version of THG. Although she claims to know little about the film, her choices for casting in the roles of Peeta and Gale would be Daniel Radcliffe and Robert Pattinson.
Beyond her literary pursuits, music plays a major role in her life. She is both a fan and practitioner. Her talents include playing guitar and keyboard. She has both acoustic and electric models. She prefers the electric because it's "cooler." An accomplished keyboardist, Natavia claims to have no favorite tunes to play but enjoys creating original compositions. "It's a natural thing that flows through my blood."
